Sportsbook.com steals from six-seven figures from their clients.

At this time Sportsbook Prop is issuing a warning regarding all Jazette Enterprises Limited owned sportsbooks including their flagship site Sportsbook.com.

Recently this group decided to go back 6 weeks and remove winnings from dozens of accounts that were won by betting correlated parlay bets. Here is an actual example of a correlated parlay which was voided.

It is common practice at any online sportsbook to have their software block parlays they determine to be correlated. This is not something that any sportsbook leaves up to their clients to determine nor will any top tier book ever go back and remove funds after a game has been complete because they determined it was not a good bet for them to place in the first place.

Over the past few days a lot of press has been created from this and it’s the opinion of the majority of forum posters and portal owners that this is outright theft by Sportsbook.com’s family of sites.

One major sports betting forum EOG has removed a Jazette site, Sportsbetting.com, from their list of sponsors and has moved remaining funds from the advertising to a player relief fund. EOG will distribute the remaining funds to victims of this theft in the event Sportsbook.com does not return the funds they have stolen.

There are currently 59 sites on the Jazette Network and 1 site has decided to make a stand against their host by returning any funds that their clients bet on their particular skin which were later stolen from them/. The site which did this, BetUSA.com, has taken the liberty to pay out on the confiscated fund and publicly voice that they do not agree with Sportsbook.com’s decision on this matter.

Although at this time we strongly suggest avoiding all Jazette sportsbooks, if you still prefer to use them we strongly suggest giving your business to BetUSA.com over other books on this network as standing up against their host takes some major guts to do.

As a result of this incident we have downgraded Sportsbook.com and Sportsbetting.com from C+ to D on our Sportsbook Rating Guide. We have also added BetUSA to our Rating Guide with a C rating.

At this time it is confirmed that a minimum of 31 accounts were affected and over $280,000 was stolen. We speculate the actual number of accounts to be significantly higher and the total stolen to be as high as 7 figures (over $1 Million).

If you have questions regarding this Sportsbook.com theft that you would like answered please post them in the comments box below and we’ll be happy to answer them for you.

If you were a victim of this theft we encourage you to visit EOG or Sportsbook Review for assistance as we personally do not have the contacts to assist with disputes at many low rated online sportsbooks including most on the Jazette network.

Update: October 19, 2007 9:35PM EST. Sportsbetting.com has agreed to go the same route as BetUSA in returning any funds that their host confiscated from their clients. We are reinstating Sportsbetting.com’s C+ rating at this time.
